The brief arrives finished.

Budget, scope, hours, timezone and the reasons you matched — in the message, before you answer. Nothing to write, nothing to bid.

No black-box scores

Six weighted components, deterministic arithmetic, every number traceable to a reason. Change the brief below: the scores move, and so does who the client gets shown at all.

Required skills
A geometric mean, not an average: one required skill nobody can evidence drags the whole 40 points down.
25h/week
Availability is squared below a full fit, so partial hours cost more than linearly.
€55–75/hr
A fixed budget over duration × weekly hours; the freelancer's own band is matched against it.
Engagement
Preferred skills — bonus only, never redistributed
Required-skill evidence is not a knob: it is whatever the repositories say. The client picks which skills a brief requires; the repositories supply how strong each one is. Everything else here is the client's own brief.

Ranking on this brief3 matches
Two ways off the list: scoring under 40, or having no usable evidence on a skill the brief requires. Either one drops a candidate — as long as somebody clears the bar. When nobody does, the client gets the closest candidates instead, labelled as such and still carrying every gap. Ten rows at most, either way.

Skills carry their evidence

Every skill is labeled by where we saw it: verified from real repositories, or self-reported. Same size, same weight; only the label differs.

Scores are measured, not awarded

The same project and the same profiles always produce the same score: arithmetic you can audit, not a model's mood.

Gaps are stated plainly

Where the fit is thinner, the match says so: calm facts, never alarms. Both sides decide with the same information.

The short answers

Common questions
Do freelancers ever apply?

No. Clients describe a project, see ranked matches, and send pitches. You reply to the ones worth your time; there is nothing to apply to.

What's inside a pitch?

The project's full details (budget, scope, logistics) plus the reasons you matched and a personal note on why you specifically. Enough to say yes or no in one read.

Can I say no without consequences?

Always. Decline with an optional reason, or flip off "Open to offers" and disappear from searches entirely; flip it back anytime.

Who sees my profile?

Clients only see profiles that have been reviewed and approved, and your work summary only after you've approved it yourself.
